I cant get my engine to start. What should I do?

Ensure that you don't have these problems again! First, call the technicians at Prime Marine Services, and explain the problems. They will do their best to help you over the phone. If this doesn't work, it may well require a visit to our workshops or alternatively, we can carry out the repairs on-site.

Make sure that you get your boat serviced. The examples of the servicing required is put below:

100 Hour Service
Every 100 hours of engine time, (either inboard or outboard), the engine should be serviced. We recommend that this is the absolute minimum.

Winter Service
at the end of the season your engine should be winterised, this is where the fuel is drained and the engine is inhibited, ready for use the following season.

Annual Service

you should have your engine serviced at least once a year to prolong its life and ensure it is reliable and running at optimum efficiency.

Re-commission
When an engine is re-commissioned it essentially get the equivalent of a major service.
