Boat Servicing:

Inboard Engine and Outboard Engine Servicing:

Boat maintenance is essential for reliable boating. Boats with inboard engines or outboard engines are often used for a few months and left for the remaining part of the year. There is nothing worse than dropping the boat in the water on a summers day for a fishing trip or a whiz around the bay only to find that the engine, (either inboard or outboard), simply doesn't want to start.Boat Engine Servicing by Prime Marine Services

"We want to ensure that you don't have to worry when you are boating. The last thing we want is that you are 2 miles out on a fishing trip, the weather turns and your engine fails."

How often should my Outboard Engine or Inboard Engine be serviced?

100 Hour Service
Every 100 hours of engine time, (either inboard or outboard), the engine should be serviced. We recommend that this is the absolute minimum.

Winter Service
At the end of the season your engine should be winterised, this is where the fuel is drained and the engine is inhibited, ready for use the following season.

Annual Service

You should have your engine serviced at least once a year to prolong its life and ensure it is reliable and running at optimum efficiency.

Re-commission
When an engine is re-commissioned it essentially gets the equivalent of a major service.
